COOL-PLUS PAC TOP 48 is a premium synthetic, high-performance refrigeration lubricant developed specifically for industrial ammonia refrigeration systems. A major benefit of this fluid is its exceptionally low solubility in ammonia, which prevents chemical reactions and maintains oil fluidity even at ultra-low evaporator temperatures. It exhibits outstanding thermal and oxidative stability, extending the oil service life by up to five times compared to conventional naphthenic-based refrigeration oils. Additionally, its very low volatility minimizes lubricant carryover into evaporators by up to 80%, keeping heat exchangers clean and significantly improving overall system thermal efficiency. With a high viscosity index and an exceptionally low pour point of -63°C, it protects compressor components under high discharge temperatures while preventing wax gelation in freezing circuits. Finally, this fluid provides superb control against varnish and carbon deposits on internal system surfaces and is fully compatible with standard refrigeration seals.
