Mobil EAL Arctic 46 is a fully synthetic, high-performance environmental awareness lubricant (EAL) specifically designed for refrigeration and air-conditioning compressors using HFC, HFO, and blended refrigerants. It is formulated from synthesized polyol ester (POE) base stocks combined with a specialized additive system, providing outstanding lubricity, wear protection, chemical stability, and thermal stability. The product is miscible with refrigerants, ensuring excellent system efficiency and return of oil to the compressor. Typical technical properties include an ISO viscosity grade of 46, a kinematic viscosity of 46 mm2/s at 40°C and 7.1 mm2/s at 100°C, a viscosity index of 115, a density of 0.960 g/ml at 15°C, a pour point of -45°C, and a flash point of 230°C.
