Mobil SHC Gargoyle 80 is a fully synthetic, high-performance polyol ester (POE) compressor oil specifically designed for refrigeration compressors operating under severe conditions using hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) and carbon dioxide ($CO_2$) refrigerants. It is formulated to provide outstanding wear protection, high thermal and chemical stability, and exceptional resistance to foaming and refrigerant dilution. Typical technical properties include an ISO viscosity grade of 80, a kinematic viscosity of 80 mm2/s at 40°C and 9.8 mm2/s at 100°C, a viscosity index of 105, a density of 0.962 g/ml at 15°C, a pour point of -42°C, and a flash point of 240°C.
