Mobil SHC Pegasus 40 is an exceptional, high-performance synthetic gas engine oil engineered to meet the rigorous demands of modern high-output four-cycle gas engines operating under severe conditions and extended service intervals. Formulated from high-viscosity index synthetic base stocks and a cutting-edge, low-ash additive system, it offers superior resistance to oxidation, nitration, and oil thickening, while minimizing valve train wear, piston ring sticking, and combustion chamber ash deposits. Typical technical properties include a kinematic viscosity of 40 mm2/s at 40°C and 7.8 mm2/s at 100°C, a viscosity index of 145, a density of 0.855 g/ml at 15°C, a pour point of -45°C, and a flash point of 240°C, with a sulfated ash content of 0.5% mass.
