Product Description

Mobilgard 540 AC is an advanced, extra-high-performance marine diesel engine cylinder oil specifically engineered for modern, highly-rated two-stroke crosshead marine engines operating on heavy fuel oil (HFO), particularly those utilizing exhaust gas cleaning systems (scrubbers) or operating under slow steaming conditions. It is formulated to optimize lubricant feed rates, minimize acid corrosion, and deliver superior piston cleanliness and anti-wear protection. This product is supplied in a 208-liter drum (Fass). Key technical properties include an SAE viscosity grade of 50, a kinematic viscosity of approximately 200 mm2/s at 40°C and 19.0 mm2/s at 100°C, a viscosity index of 95, a density of approximately 0.935 g/ml at 15°C, a total base number (TBN) of 40 mg KOH/g, a pour point of -15°C, and a flash point of 240°C.
