FUCHS RENOCAST RA 1290 (formerly known as SOK 912) is a solvent-based, mineral oil concrete release agent formulated with highly de-aromatized solvents for low-odor operation. It is specifically engineered for universal use across all absorbent and non-absorbent formwork types—including roughly sawn and planed wood, steel molds, film/plastic-lined panels, polysulfide matrixes, and ABS-lined systems. The release agent chemically reacts with the concrete to ensure easy separation, preventing pore formation and surface air voids ("bug holes") to produce smooth, uniform, high-quality exposed concrete finishes. It leaves no residues that interfere with the subsequent adhesion of plaster, paint, or adhesives. Formulated slightly "greasier" than lighter variants, RENOCAST RA 1290 minimizes formwork buildup and shuttering contamination while offering formwork temperature tolerance up to +100 °C and temporary corrosion protection for steel molds.
