Shell Gadus S3 Wirerope T Aerosol is a high-performance, graphite-fortified protective lubricant specifically packaged in a convenient spray format for easy application on steel cables, hoisting lines, open gears, and drive chains. It brings the advanced mechanical protection of the bulk Gadus Wirerope "T" family into an agile, highly accessible maintenance format. The core chemical advantage of this aerosol formulation lies in its delivery system. The product is blended with a highly volatile, non-chlorinated solvent carrier. Upon spraying, the lubricant has an extremely low, fluid viscosity. This allows it to quickly penetrate deep into the core of wire ropes, finding its way between individual inner strands where friction, metal-to-metal binding, and hidden corrosion typically occur. Within minutes, the solvent evaporates, leaving behind an exceptionally tacky, high-viscosity lubricating film. This remaining film is heavily reinforced with solid graphite particles.
