Shell Gadus S5 T100 2 is an ultra-high performance, fully synthetic, long-life grease developed to provide outstanding lubrication in high-speed rolling element bearings operating at elevated temperatures or under extreme thermal cycling. The grease features a premium synthetic polyalphaolefin (PAO) base oil thickened with an advanced polyurea (diurea) non-soap thickener matrix, complemented by a highly specialized additive package. The primary engineering advantage of Shell Gadus S5 T100 2 is the combination of its polyurea thickener and fully synthetic base oil. Traditional lithium-complex greases are prone to oxidation and thermal degradation when exposed to constant high temperatures over long periods, leading to grease hardening and bearing failure. In contrast, the polyurea thickener in Gadus S5 T100 2 offers exceptional inherent oxidation stability, structural shear strength, and high-temperature resistance. Meanwhile, the PAO base oil guarantees low fluid friction and superb low-temperature flowability, allowing cold startups down to -40°C while maintaining an extremely stable, load-bearing fluid film up to 180°C. The 18 kg plastic pail is a highly functional packaging format for manufacturing facilities, power stations, chemical plants, and maintenance departments. Because it is highly portable, technicians can carry it manually to service high-speed electric motor bearings, cooling fans, and blowers located on upper decks or in tight spaces without the need for cranes or hoists.
