Shell Helix HX7 10W-40 is a synthetic technology motor oil designed to deliver consistent engine performance, cleanliness, and protection under daily driving conditions. It utilizes advanced Active Cleansing Technology to actively prevent sludge build-up and protect internal engine components against harmful deposits. The lubricant is suitable for a wide range of modern passenger cars, including gasoline, diesel (without particulate filters), and gas-powered engines, as well as biodiesel and gasoline-ethanol blends. It features a kinematic viscosity of approximately 96.3 mm²/s at 40°C and 14.3 mm²/s at 100°C, maintaining a stable oil film across diverse operating temperatures. With a high flash point of around 246°C and a pour point of -36°C, it ensures reliable cold-temperature starting alongside superior high-temperature thermal stability. The product meets key industry performance standards, including ACEA A3/B3, A3/B4 and API SN, along with manufacturer approvals such as MB 229.3 and VW 501.01/505.00.
