Shell Helix Ultra Racing 5W-40 is a high-performance, fully synthetic engine oil engineered to meet the demanding requirements of racing, modified, and high-output gasoline and diesel engines. Developed in association with Ferrari using Shell’s PurePlus Technology, it utilizes a pure base oil derived from natural gas to deliver unsurpassed protection against sludge and power-robbing deposits. Its robust formulation provides higher film strength to deliver superior bearing wear protection under extreme thermal and mechanical stresses experienced during racing conditions. Key technical characteristics include a kinematic viscosity of approximately 79.10 $mm^2/s$ at 40°C, 13.10 $mm^2/s$ at 100°C, a viscosity index of 168, a density of 840.3 $kg/m^3$ at 15°C, a flash point of 242°C, and a pour point of -45°C. Compliant with API SN and ACEA A3/B3, A3/B4 standards, as well as Ferrari endorsement, it ensures excellent shear stability, low evaporation loss, and reliable engine durability in severe driving environments.
