Shell Immersion Cooling S5 X is a premium, synthetic single-phase immersion cooling fluid specifically engineered for direct-to-chip and immersion cooling of high-density IT hardware, data centers, and high-performance computing (HPC) servers. Formulated using Shell’s gas-to-liquids (GTL) technology, it provides a high-purity, ultra-clear hydrocarbon fluid with exceptional dielectric properties, thermal conductivity, and oxidation stability. Its low viscosity profile maximizes fluid circulation and heat transfer efficiency while operating safely in direct contact with delicate electronic components and server materials. Key technical characteristics include a kinematic viscosity of approximately 5.0 $mm^2/s$ at 40°C, 1.6 $mm^2/s$ at 100°C, a high flash point of approximately 160°C, a pour point of -54°C, a density of 795 $kg/m^3$ at 15°C, and a high dielectric breakdown voltage (>40 kV), ensuring reliable electrical insulation.
