Shell Morlina S2 B 68 (formerly known as Shell Vitrea 68) is a high-performance industrial bearing and circulating oil engineered to deliver reliable protection and maintain system efficiency in circulating lubrication systems. Formulated with high-quality solvent-refined mineral base oils and an advanced rust and oxidation (R&O) additive package, it is specifically designed for plain and rolling element bearings, roll-neck bearings, and lightly loaded enclosed industrial gear sets where extreme pressure (EP) additives are not required. The formulation delivers rapid water separation (demulsibility) and quick air release to preserve protective oil film thickness and prevent system cavitation. Key technical characteristics include an ISO VG 68 viscosity grade, a kinematic viscosity of approximately 68 $mm^2/s$ at 40°C and 8.8 $mm^2/s$ at 100°C, a viscosity index of 95, a density of 884 $kg/m^3$ at 15°C, a flash point of 235°C, and a pour point of -21°C. Meeting the standards of DIN 51517-1 Type C, ISO 12925-1 Type CKL, Danieli Standard 6.124249.F, and Morgan MORGOIL® specifications, it guards internal machinery components against rust, sludge formation, and thermal breakdown over long operating intervals.
