Shell Morlina S2 B 680 (formerly known as Shell Vitrea 680) is an ultra-high-viscosity industrial bearing and circulating oil engineered to provide robust performance and protection in heavy-duty, highly loaded circulating lubrication systems. It is specifically formulated with high-viscosity solvent-refined mineral base stocks and an advanced rust and oxidation (R&O) additive package for plain and rolling element bearings, roll-neck bearings, and low-speed, lightly loaded enclosed industrial gear sets operating where extreme pressure (EP) performance is not required. The high viscosity grade forms a thick, protective oil film capable of sustaining heavy loads at lower speeds while maintaining excellent water demulsibility and air release properties. Key technical characteristics include an ISO VG 680 viscosity grade, a kinematic viscosity of approximately 680 $mm^2/s$ at 40°C and 37.0 $mm^2/s$ at 100°C, a viscosity index of 92, a density of 910 $kg/m^3$ at 15°C, a flash point of 305°C, and a pour point of -9°C. Compliant with DIN 51517-1 Type C, DIN 51517-2 Type CL, Danieli Standard 6.124249.F, and Morgan MORGOIL® specifications, it provides long-term resistance against rust, corrosion, oxidation, and deposit formation in demanding industrial applications.
