Shell Morlina S2 BL 10 (formerly known as Shell Morlina 10) is a premium, extra-low viscosity industrial bearing and circulating oil engineered specifically for high-speed machine tool spindles and precision automated equipment. Formulated with light, solvent-refined base stocks (or advanced GTL technology depending on production region) and a zinc-free additive package, it minimizes energy loss through frictional heat while maintaining continuous protective oil film thickness at high rotational speeds. Its light-viscosity profile prevents temperature build-up, and its robust rust and oxidation (R&O) additive system offers long fluid service life and non-reactive wear protection for soft metal bearing components (such as copper alloys). Key technical characteristics include an ISO VG 10 viscosity grade, a kinematic viscosity of approximately 10.0 $mm^2/s$ at 40°C and 2.3–2.7 $mm^2/s$ at 100°C, a viscosity index of 118, a density of 810–881 $kg/m^3$ at 15°C, a flash point of 150°C, and a pour point of -36°C.
