Shell Naturelle Grease S4 U68AP 1.5 (now rebranded as Shell PANOLIN S4 Grease U68AP 1.5) is a heavy-duty, biodegradable multi-purpose grease formulated with a calcium sulfonate complex thickener and semi-synthetic base oil. It is engineered for heavy-duty, slow-moving equipment, sliding bearings, and open gear systems operating in severe marine environments, particularly offshore jack-up systems exposed to seawater. The grease provides outstanding load-carrying capabilities (4-Ball Weld Load of 800 kg), extreme pressure protection, and superior resistance to water washout and saltwater corrosion. Its readily biodegradable formulation (OECD 301B >60%) with low ecotoxicity makes it an Environmentally Acceptable Lubricant suitable for environmentally sensitive areas. Operating across a temperature range of -20°C to +150°C, it maintains exceptional mechanical stability under severe shear, vibration, and heavy shock loads.
