Shell Naturelle S2 Hydraulic Fluid 32 (rebranded as Shell PANOLIN S2 Hydraulic EAL 32) is an advanced, fully synthetic biodegradable hydraulic fluid (ISO 15380 HEES type) formulated with synthetic unsaturated esters and an ashless, zinc-free additive system. Designed for power transmission and hydraulic systems operating in environmentally sensitive areas, it contains a mean biobased renewable content of over 80% (ASTM D 6866) and is readily biodegradable (OECD 301B >60%), significantly reducing environmental impact in the event of accidental leaks or spills. Its naturally high viscosity index provides multigrade performance, allowing reliable fluid flow during cold starts while maintaining sufficient film strength at maximum operating bulk temperatures (up to 90°C). The advanced ashless formulation delivers outstanding anti-wear protection—proven in industry tests like Eaton Vickers 35VQ25 and Komatsu HPV35+35 pumps—while exhibiting excellent filterability, air release, and water separation properties to keep system efficiency high.
