Shell Tellus S2 M 68 is a high-performance industrial hydraulic fluid engineered to deliver reliable anti-wear protection, thermal stability, and consistent system efficiency in heavy-duty machinery. Formulated with high-quality mineral base stocks and zinc-based anti-wear additive chemistry, it resists oxidation under high thermal and mechanical stress, keeping system components clean and free of varnish. The fluid exhibits fast air release, superior water separation, and excellent filterability—protecting hydraulic pumps, valves, and actuators against cavitation and premature wear. Typical physical parameters include a kinematic viscosity of 68.0 mm²/s at 40°C, 8.9 mm²/s at 100°C, a viscosity index of 97, a density of 886 kg/m³ at 15°C, a flash point of 235°C, and a pour point of -24°C.
