Product Description

Shell Tellus S2 MA 10 is a specialized, high-performance detergent-type hydraulic fluid engineered for industrial machinery, high-speed machine tool spindles, and systems prone to water contamination or particulate ingress. Formulated with highly refined mineral base stocks and advanced ashless detergent and anti-wear additive technology, it keeps internal components clean by dispersing particulates, sludge, and emulsifying small amounts of water. This detergent/dispersant action prevents particulate dropout and localized water pooling, mitigating corrosion, valve sticking, and filter blockages in sensitive equipment. Its low ISO VG 10 viscosity ensures excellent low-friction operation, rapid air release, and precise hydraulic response in high-speed applications. Typical physical parameters include a kinematic viscosity of 10.0 mm²/s at 40°C, 2.5 mm²/s at 100°C, a viscosity index of 100, a density of 857 kg/m³ at 15°C, a flash point of 177°C (350°F), and a pour point of -30°C. Supplied in a standard 209-liter industrial drum, it meets key industry specifications including ISO 11158 (HM fluids), DIN 51524 Part 2 HLP (HLPD detergent hydraulic oil performance), and ASTM D6158.
