Shell Tellus S2 MX 22 is a high-performance industrial hydraulic fluid formulated with Group II base oil technology and an advanced zinc-based anti-wear additive package. Engineered to succeed the legacy Shell Tellus S2 M series, its Group II formulation provides superior oxidation resistance, exceptional thermal stability, and long-term deposit control under high-stress operating conditions. The low-viscosity ISO VG 22 grade ensures fast system response, low friction, and reliable low-temperature start-ups while maintaining rapid air release, excellent water separation, and strong anti-foam performance to protect pumps from cavitation. Typical physical parameters include a kinematic viscosity of 22.0 mm²/s at 40°C, 4.4 mm²/s at 100°C, a viscosity index of 108, a density of 852 kg/m³ at 15°C, a flash point of 210°C, and a pour point of -30°C. Supplied in a standard 209-liter industrial drum, it meets key industry specifications including ISO 11158 (HM fluids), DIN 51524 Part 2 HLP, ASTM D6158-05 (HM fluids), Eaton E-FDGN-TB000-E, and Parker Denison HF-0/HF-1/HF-2.
