Shell Tellus S2 V 100 is a high-performance, shear-stable hydraulic fluid engineered with a high viscosity index base oil system to deliver reliable performance and wear protection across wide temperature fluctuations. Formulated for heavy-duty industrial machinery, mobile equipment, and marine applications operating in severe climates or variable ambient conditions, it maintains consistent viscosity and film strength from cold start-ups to high-temperature continuous operation. The fluid incorporates proven zinc-based anti-wear additives, effective oxidation inhibitors, and rapid air-release properties to prevent pump cavitation, sludge accumulation, and component wear. Typical physical parameters include an ISO VG 100 viscosity grade, a kinematic viscosity of 100 mm²/s at 40°C and 14.5 mm²/s at 100°C, a high viscosity index of 145, a density of 877 kg/m³ at 15°C, a flash point of 230°C, and a pour point of -33°C.
