Shell Tellus S2 V 15 is a specialized, high-performance shear-stable hydraulic fluid engineered with a high viscosity index base oil formulation to deliver reliable performance, low-temperature pumpability, and precise control in extreme cold or wide-swing environments. Designed for precision instruments, delicate control systems, mobile equipment, and auxiliary systems operating in harsh climates, its high viscosity index ensures consistent fluid film thickness and smooth operation from cold start-ups to elevated operating temperatures. The fluid is fortified with proven zinc-based anti-wear additives, oxidation inhibitors, and rapid air-release properties to protect pumps against cavitation and minimize wear. Typical physical parameters include an ISO VG 15 viscosity grade, a kinematic viscosity of 15.0 mm²/s at 40°C and 3.9 mm²/s at 100°C, a high viscosity index of 153, a density of 872 kg/m³ at 15°C, a flash point of 180°C, and a deep pour point of -45°C. Supplied in a standard 209-liter industrial drum, it meets key industry standards including ISO 11158 (HV fluids), DIN 51524 Part 3 (HVLP), and ASTM D6158-05 (HV fluids).
