Shell Tellus S2 V 68 is a high-performance, shear-stable hydraulic fluid engineered with a high viscosity index base oil system to deliver reliable performance, wear protection, and consistent fluid response across wide temperature fluctuations. Designed for heavy-duty industrial machinery, mobile equipment, and outdoor hydraulic systems operating in severe climates or variable ambient conditions, it maintains proper viscosity and film strength from cold start-ups to hot, continuous running conditions. The fluid incorporates proven zinc-based anti-wear additives, effective oxidation inhibitors, and rapid air-release properties to protect high-pressure pumps against cavitation and minimize component wear. Typical physical parameters include an ISO VG 68 viscosity grade, a kinematic viscosity of 68.0 mm²/s at 40°C and 11.0 mm²/s at 100°C, a high viscosity index of 145, a density of 878 kg/m³ at 15°C, a flash point of 235°C, and a pour point of -30°C.
