Shell Tellus S2 VX 100 is a high-performance, shear-stable hydraulic fluid formulated with advanced Group II base oil technology and high-viscosity-index (HVI) modifiers. Designed as the direct successor to the legacy Shell Tellus S2 V 100, its upgraded Group II base stock offers superior resistance to thermal and chemical breakdown, enhanced deposit control, and lower sulfur content for extended fluid life. Engineered for heavy-duty mobile equipment, outdoor machinery, and industrial systems exposed to wide temperature swings, it maintains consistent viscosity and reliable film strength from cold start-ups to continuous, high-load operations. Typical physical parameters include an ISO VG 100 viscosity grade, a kinematic viscosity of 100 mm²/s at 40°C and 14.0 mm²/s at 100°C, a high viscosity index of 143, a density of 870 kg/m³ at 15°C, a flash point of 230°C (Cleveland Open Cup), and a pour point of -30°C. It complies with major industry specifications and OEM requirements, including ISO 11158 (HV fluids), DIN 51524 Part 3 HVLP, ASTM D6158 (HV fluids), and Eaton E-FDGN-TB002-E.
