Shell Tellus S2 VX 15 is a specialized, ultra-low-viscosity, shear-stable hydraulic fluid engineered with advanced Group II base oil technology and high-viscosity-index (HVI) modifiers. Designed as the direct successor to the legacy Shell Tellus S2 V 15, its upgraded Group II formulation delivers superior thermal stability, enhanced oxidation resistance, and long-term deposit control. Tailored for precision instruments, delicate control systems, and mobile or military equipment operating in extreme cold climates, it ensures rapid system response and low-temperature fluidity from severe sub-zero start-ups to elevated operating temperatures. Typical physical parameters include an ISO VG 15 viscosity grade, a kinematic viscosity of 15.0 mm²/s at 40°C and 4.0 mm²/s at 100°C, a high viscosity index of 150, a density of 870 kg/m³ at 15°C, a flash point of 180°C (Cleveland Open Cup), and a deep pour point of -45°C. It complies with major global industry standards and OEM requirements, including ISO 11158 (HV fluids), DIN 51524 Part 3 HVLP, and ASTM D6158 (HV fluids).
