Shell Tellus S3 M 100 is a premium, heavy-duty industrial hydraulic fluid utilizing advanced, zinc-free anti-wear technology designed for manufacturing and industrial systems operating under hot, high-load conditions. Engineered to resist thermal and chemical breakdown, it offers extended fluid life with an exceptional oxidation stability (designed for a minimum 5000-hour TOST life under ASTM D943), superior cleanliness, and excellent water-separation characteristics to prevent sludge and maintain high system efficiency. Typical physical parameters include an ISO VG 100 viscosity grade, a kinematic viscosity of 100 mm²/s at 40°C and 11.4 mm²/s at 100°C (with a cold-start viscosity of 1750 mm²/s at 0°C), a viscosity index of 100, a density of 875 kg/m³ at 15°C, a high flash point of 250°C (Cleveland Open Cup), and a pour point of -33°C.
